The musical ‘The Man in the Iron Mask’ released its casting ahead of the opening.
‘The Man in the Iron Mask’ tells the story of Louis XIV, a twin born in the French royal family. The story of the hero of fate, who had to be imprisoned in an underground prison with one king and the other in an iron mask, unfolds with the adventures of the Three Musketeers fighting for justice.
It is a novel by Alexandre Dumas, the original author of “The Count of Monte Cristo” and “The Three Musketeers” which was also successful in 1998 with a film. Based on a film of the same name, “The Man in the Iron Mask” premiered in Korea last year.
Phillippe, who is locked in an underground prison with a mask because he is the twin brother of the greedy, self-righteous French King Louis XIV, Louis / Philippe’s musical ‘Three Musketeers’, The cast includes Sandeul (B1A4), who was loved for his outstanding singing and acting skills and Noh Tae-hyun, who performed as a rising newcomer in the musical “Mefisto.” Kim Dong-han, a singer with an omniscient charm and outstanding singing ability, will then try to transform himself into a musical actor. Louis/Phillippe’s role is to be further casted.
The D’Artagnan character, who is full of justice as the leader of the royal family, stars Lee Geon-myung, who proved himself to be a stage craftsman with his immersive acting skills in “The Three Musketeers” “Jack The Ripper” and “Frankenstein” and Kim Jun-hyun, who starred in such works as “Xcalibur” and “Marie Antoinette.”
Athos, the leader of the Three Musketeers and showing a paternal love for his son Raul, Shin Sung-woo who has dominated the stage with solid acting power and overwhelming presence in Dracula, Jack The Ripper, and Three Musketeers. Seo Beom-seok, who has been implementing his character with attractive voice and stable delivery in “Note dame de Paris,” “Anna Karenina” and “Sopyonje” will take the stage.
Porthos, who is spending the rest of his happy life with Cecil after retiring from the Three Musketeers, Kim Beop-rae led the stage with explosive singing and rich voice in musicals “Dracula” “Mefisto” and “Jack The Ripper.” Jang Dae-woong, who has played the role of Lieutenant Andre as an unrivaled character in “The Three Musketeers” “Montecristo” and “The Devotion of Suspect X” has been cast.
The role of Aramis, who makes his own voice in hopes of changing the world, has been picked as “Phantom” “The Phantom of the Opera” Yoon Young-seok, who received favorable reviews and Park Sang-don, a rich-sexed owner from “Panthom singer.”

Christine, a warm and dignified woman who promised to marry Raul, will be the first musical debut stage, with Yang Ji-won from Spica, Lee Young-in from the vocal department who won the beauty of the 60th Miss Korea beauty contest, and Lee Ji-won from Real Girl Project, who combines elegant looks and talent.
The role of romanceist Raul, who loves Christine, is Park Geun-sik, who has shown soft features and toughness in “Subway Line 1” “DH.98 Mosquito” and “The Invincible Three Musketeers.” Lee Jun Yong of the group Noir, who has gained popularity through the music sense and talent inherent in the broadcast ‘Super Band’ and ‘Hong Kong App’, will appear.
Meanwhile, “The Man in the Iron Mask” will be performed from Nov. 23 to Jan. 26, 2020 at the BBCH Hall of the Gwanglim Art Center. It will host the first round of ticket opening on the Oct. 18th.
