7th August marks the debut of a new creative musical from the production of Beautiful Way, winner of the 4th 상상 Stage challenge, based on one of the most famous female writers in history – Mary Shelley, author of the novel Frankenstein. Mary Shelley retells the events of the infamous summer of 1816, Geneva, where Mary Shelley, her step-sister Claire Clairmont, Percy Bysshe Shelley, Lord Byron and his physician John Polidori had to be locked inside due to bad weather for days and decided to hold a writing contest.

Hedwig and the Angry Inch is a concert-like musical under Showsnote, that its debut in Korea in 2005, performed a total of 12 times, making this the 13th season. This work is crowned the “best-selling Korean musical” (Interpark) and tells the story of East German-born transgender singer Hedwig overcoming the pain of the past and launching a new life through music.

A Nine Story creative musical Agatha based on the disappearance of one of the most famous British authors, Agatha Christie, is coming back with a new production after 8 years since its premiere in 2013. Thanks to the creator’s enhanced imagination added to the reports and letters presented, this shocking true crime story from 1926 will be presented in a new light. The musical presents us a genius writer in a slump, Raymond Ashton, who begins to trace the disappearance of Agatha again in search of his memories, a clue to a recurring nightmare. As a mirror, there is Agatha, who likewise lost her memories in those 11 days, what is their relation?

Musical ‘Insert Coin’

Creative musical Insert Coin takes place in the background of a karaoke room where the story of love and dreams unfolds. It fills the theatre with its combination of familiar songs one always sings in the karaoke rooms and originals dramatic songs unique to the work. Sangwon, who was once an idol, strives to become a recognized musician but is discouraged by the cold gaze that doubts his musical endeavours. SangWon receives a proposal from MinHee, the daughter of a wealthy family, and on the same day meets JaeEun, an aspiring lyricist, who runs a karaoke room, as if by fate.
