This month a brand new musical from Papa Production is having its premiere! Pip is a creative musical based on the novel Great Expectations by a Victorian British author, Charles Dickens.
The story takes place in the seaside town of England, mid 19th century, and introduces an orphan boy, Pip, who dreamed of becoming a gentleman. As a child, he becomes a playmate for Estella, the daughter of a wealthy aristocratic woman, that taunts him with a cold and arrogant attitude. Pip becomes obsessed with turning into a gentleman to match the status of his newfound love. However, a few months later Estella leaves to study abroad. Pip, whose heart was filled with melancholy is visited by a lawyer. Bewildered by this unexpected great luck, he supposedly inherited a large sum of money. Now he can finally dream of meeting the love of his life again with the means to turn into the finest gentleman in London!
