Mata Hari is the first domestic creative musical by EMK Musical Company created based on the life of Mata Hari, a dancer who was a double-spy in Germany and England during World War I. It is said the script was made so that it could be easily translated into foreign languages, as it was made to be exported to countries around the world. Over the years, it has undergone various changes in plot and characters and this month it returns for 3rd season since its debut in 2016.
With her sensual and mystical charm, Mata Hari became a sensational hit with ‘Temple Dance’ and became a celebrity across Europe. One day, a meeting with a French intelligence officer changes her life forever. Her acquaintance with high-ranking officials allowed Mata Hari to cross the borders during ongoing wars and become the perfect person for smuggling documents and intel.
