A creative musical by Handa Production on its second season since the premiere in 2019. Based on the novel by Émile Zola, Thérèse Raquin depicts human selfishness and greed; protagonists who destroy themselves out of anguish and guilt. Set in 1860s France, Thérèse’s spent her childhood with her ailing cousin Camille and overbearing aunt, to whose care she was entrusted by her father. After waiting for his return every day, sudden news of her father’s death abroad is delivered. Thérèse marries Camille against her will, affectionless, and moves to Paris. One day, while continuing the meaningless marriage, Camille’s childhood friend Laurent visits them. Thérèse is instantly seduced by his charm and the two enter a secret liaison. Soon enough, secret meetings are not enough – they wish for perfect love after all – so they plan to rid themselves of Camille, the stumbling block. Without a single suspicion, they succeed in the perfect crime. As perfect as the moment began to seem, a shadow of doom, that no one expected, falls upon them.

A brand new creative musical by Orchard Musical Company depicting the turbulent 19th century Russia, where war and art coexisted. The greatest composer of his time, Tchaikovsky, pursued Western European music along with his colleague Alyosha to create beautiful melodies without borders for the Russian people. Anna, the editor of a literary magazine, tries to capture this era through her poetry. When Alyosha must enlist, Tchaikovsky seeks peace in a monastery, hoping to get away from the world. He meets Anna, who is staying there for a similar reason. In such an unexpected situation, the two begin to work together, share stories and take comfort in their common understanding. However, as the vortex of the war grows stronger, chaotic situations unfold right before them.

A Daero Company creative musical is having its premiere this month. Based on the novel by the same name by Cho KwangHee (조광희), it is set in the early 22nd century, when AI Robots are an everyday occurrence. Han Siro, an office worker, orders an android based on his DNA and begins to live with Ao like a family. Suddenly, Ao is found unconscious and Siro, who developed a program that gives androids human-like emotions, tries to fix Ao with it. The android with newly gained consciousness falls into doubt about his own existence and begins to ignore the rules robots must follow. Conflict arises and during a scuffle, Ao kills Siro. If the android is arrested, he would be destroyed without a trial, so he seeks out Ho Yoonpyo, a lawyer specializing in robot law. Ao claims he has a right to a criminal trial just like humans do. The court battle begins!

The debut of a new creative musical by NeverEndingPlay Company is set for this month! A work about the lives of ordinary men and women, set in the Victorian era.

The three Brontë sisters, Charlotte, Emily and Anne, did not stop exchanging letters filled with unique sensibility even amidst the gloomy life as daughters of a poor pastor. A work that allows the audience to transcend time and illuminate the hardships of women writers in an era completely different to our own.Filled with literary imagination along with facts about these immortal authors, it asks the questions: “What was the story they wanted to tell in print? What kept them from giving up on writing?”

A creative musical by PL Entertainment is debuting this month.
First released in 2013 through the CJ Culture Foundation’s ‘Creative Minds’ reading performance. At the time, it was praised by the audience and critics for its humanism that comforts human nature. Dok Go JeongSoon, a worker in charge of the welfare department, is inflexible and often causes friction with the head of the district and her colleagues. A newbie, SeoSan, joins the department in the meantime. The two can not be more different and often quarrel over trivial things, yet, SeoSan suddenly starts to hang around Dok Go JeongSoon. Both share a similar sense of loneliness as if they had gone through similar situations in the past. Returning to the apartment building where they both live, the two witness an incident next door.

Oceans is the very first EMK historical fictional musical! Five-member storytelling group ‘Oceans’ embraces the infinite imagination of the life of the “King of the Sea” on stage, singing about dreams and hope.

Jang Bogo, the central figure of the work, was a great man recorded in the history of Korea, China and Japan. Born as a poor man in the unified Silla era with its hierarchal society at the core, he was a person who challenged what everyone opposed. Only one of a thousand nameless faces, he managed to break through thanks to his constant effort and skill in sea trading known across the whole of East Asia.

A licenced (though modified) musical based on the masterpiece The Three Musketeers by French writer Alexandre Dumas (père). D’Artagnan, a 17th-century Gascony native, comes to Paris dreaming of becoming a royal musketeer and quickly learns the reality as he is robbed right away. While looking for the thief, he runs into three musketeers who laugh at his country bumpkin nature. The fearless young man promises a duel for his injury … However, the three musketeers turn out to be none other than Athos, Porthos and Aramis! Soon enough, they become inseparable, fighting duels side by side against rival musketeers and perhaps even investigating a conspiracy surrounding the king! This musical has been loved steadily since its premiere in 2009 and delighted many fans with its first re-performance in 4 years since its 10th anniversary in 2018.
