New artists can apply for a certificate of artistic activity if artists who have never received a certificate of artistic activity have professional artistic activity in the past two years. Professional performance of artistic activities means artistic activities (performances, exhibitions, books, records, etc.) publicly announced as part of vocational activities, not for hobbies, leisure, volunteer work, education, and events, and may be applied online through the artist career information system.

Those eligible for support will be selected in the order of artists with low income recognition confirmed through the social security information system, and in the case of disabled artists, if they meet their qualifications regardless of their grade or type, they will first apply. The first applicants will be announced in the third week of July, and the second application will be accepted at the end of July.

“We hope that the creative seed support fund, which was introduced to expand the creative safety net for artists, will solve any difficulties of emerging artists who have just entered the art world and help them secure their self-sustaining power,” said a policy official at the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
